Each residential household in Eureka Springs, Berryville and Green Forest is provided a recycling bin. Weekly Curbside recycling service is available at no charge and is picked up each week on the same day trash is picked up. Recycling reduces weekly trash volume and saves money.

Recycling is available throughout Carroll County. Call CCSWA at the numbers listed above for availability in your neck of the woods.

Eureka Springs Recycling Drop Off Center also accepts Freon items for a $15 charge, large steel appliances and other scrap metals, cooking oil and motor oil.

Household Hazardous Waste

During regular hours, the Eureka Springs location accepts the following residential household hazardous waste items:

  • Automotive – motor oils, oil filters, brake and transmission fluids, antifreeze, lead acid batteries
  • Paint – oil and latex based paints, stains, turpentine, aerosol cans, paint thinners and strippers, non-chlorinated solvents
  • Lawn and Garden – over the counter pesticides, insecticides and herbicides
  • Batteries – dry cell household batteries, button batteries and motor batteries
  • Cleaning – any household cleaning product containing harmful chemicals, including bleach and ammonia
  • Swimming pool chemicals

  • Specialty tires

  Specialty tires include:

  • Farm fronts
  • Irrigation
  • Small and large OTR
  • Farm rear
  • Large farm rears
  • ATV tires

Specialty tire fees (.pdf) are based on disposal fees to the District.

Tires that do not have a fee attached at the point of sale are considered a non-fee paid tire; basically, a stray tire. There is no charge for the first 4 non-fee paid tires per person, per day. After that limit, charges for non-fee paid tires are $1 per tire.
